The file is on the office machine. The client is already on the phone.
Every practice knows the moment. The return is open on the workstation at the office. The redline is half saved on the laptop at home. A brief has to be on the tablet before court, with the exhibits, not a version from last week.
Most tools answer this with another sync folder or a remote desktop. Jumpfold answers it with a checkpoint: a verified, recoverable point you can continue from on another device, with the application state that can actually be restored, and a clear note about anything that could not.
How it works
Three steps, and an honest answer at each one.
Choose what travels
Select the folders, documents and browser links that make up a workspace, matter by matter or client by client. Nothing outside your selection is read. Signing in alone never captures content.
Save a checkpoint
Jumpfold keeps its own recovery history, separate from each editor's autosave. A checkpoint is a verified, immutable copy with a timestamp and a record of exactly what it contains.
Continue on another device
When the destination has verified the checkpoint, you continue from a known point. If a safe handoff is not available, Jumpfold says so and offers the last checkpoint or a working copy instead.

What Jumpfold will not do
- It will not move your passwords, cookies or signed-in sessions. You sign in again on the next device, the same as you do today.
- It will not claim to have captured edits an application has not saved. If something was not captured, it says so.
- It will not overwrite newer work on either device. Versions that diverge are kept, and you choose.
- It is not a remote desktop, a device management tool or an AI assistant.
